A little late!

So none of these are in order, and quite frankly i have no desire to move them around. sorry, you'll just have to deal with it!

We had christmas in vegas this year with dee and her family. what fun! the boys just LOVE their cousins! we went to the Ethel M Chocolate factory one night. they have a very large cacti garden- which they completely light up and christmas time! i'm really not sure how they get all those lights on- they must have some pretty heavy duty gloves! our boys were EXHAUSTED by the time we got there- but sure loved looking at the lights, and didn't want to leave!

traveling is always hard on kids. i know that. i try to gear myself up for it while packing for the trip- but i think that we are still trying to adjust and we've been home weeks! their sleep schedule was thrown off and they just have not recovered- which means i haven't recovered. i am a woman that REQUIRES A LOT of sleep- otherwise i just don't function. at all. soooo, hence the blogging hiatus. I'm trying to get our house organized for the new year. lots of new goals set, and lots and lots of church stuff to keep a family busy. it's great fun.

sorry, back to christmas....

as you can see, santa was very good to us this year! the boys each got horses. jared a large rocking horse and spencer a "ro-ro" (that's what he calls it- rody is its name) the only thing that jared consistently asked for this year was "a long gun, like dylans" (dylan is his cousin). and santa delivered. they both got long guns and along with their horses (oh, and WAY CUTE cowboy christmas jammies) they are still in heaven! i did some black friday shopping this year and scored a few other things that they just love. i love to BUY presents. it's true. i wish i had all the money in the world just so i could buy things for those i love. and we are pretty good at not buying our kids anything else any other time of year- except the gift giving holidays. so i let myself have fun with it.

i also scored this year. i finally got my buddha! before jasaon and i were married i told him that one day i wanted a buddha to sit on a coffee table in our house. i think they are just soooo fun to look at- they make me smile. really, it's just a wacky conversational piece to have in our home. jason pretty much vetoed the idea 5 years ago- but i guess this was the year he decided he really loved me! (just kidding) but he did get me one. it was a total surprise! thanks my lover!

we also got to go on a little date night with dee and dave. we went down to the Belagio and watched their christmas themed water show- and then walked around the new city center. good times! who knew vegas was sooooo crowded at christmas?!
