it went a little something like this:
get up and not be excited at all. Time to go- we walk outside and he runs away, refusing to get into the car. i pick him up, strap him in his seat and we go anyway. get there. he refuses to get out of the car. i take him in with tears in his eyes. I stand at the doorway. he begs me not to go. I tell him i'll stay until everyone gets there (which the last kid happened to be 15 minutes late!) i sit on a chair outside his door. he can see my feet, so he's ok. he starts an art project. i move over a chair. he can't see my feet anymore, so he starts freaking out. i tell him it's time for me to go. then i tell the teacher she's going to have to close and lock the door so he won't run after me. she does. i go home.
we come to pick him up. he LOVED IT!!!!! he was all smiles. His teacher even took a picture for me of him participating with a huge smile on his face.
i'm reassured that he needs to be in preschool. we have this same situation every time he goes to sunbeams. hopefully we will see some much needed improvement soon!!!
* i will eventually back date all our summer happenings. but for now, this is current!
