my cousin marcy posted yesterday about being grateful for our grandpa. that kindly reminded me that i haven't said a thing about him.
he had open heart surgery on monday. it was a pretty big surgery. i really am grateful for doctors that have studied and prepared to be able to save lives.
my grandpa is doing pretty good. it'll take him months to recover, but he will do it quickly.
i'm grateful that i will get to see him this next week and enjoy the holiday with my extended family.
